Pike County Forecast -- March 11, 2020

It's 54º down on the Farm with the relative humidity at 99.9%.  The wind is out of the South at 5 mph.  The forecast is for fog this morning and maybe (30% chance) a thunderstorm this afternoon.  The high today will be 73ºF.

But, as we all know, the devil is in the details.

Radar is showing a few showers moving East in North Georgia (around Rome to Dalton) but is otherwise clear. I think the surface map gives the best picture for what happens today. (If you click on that link you'll see the animation and how convoluted today will be.)

18Z is 2 PM in Atlanta time so the map above is the guess for the afternoon thunderstorms mentioned in the forecast.  They are not expected to be severe -- but see that patch of dark green over Northern Mississippi?  I'd keep my eye on that.  Because that might show up in the middle of the night.  It's supposed to fade away in intensity by the time it gets to Georgia.  But I'd watch the local weather report tonight to hear what they have to say about it.
