Pike County Forecast -- March 15, 2020

Try, try again.

I hope you enjoyed your non-rain day, yesterday. I could take yesterday's forecast, post it again and see if it worked any better today.

It's 52ยบ out at the Farm, relative humidity in the 80% range and the wind is from the South at 5-10 mph.  The forecast, straight out of the horse's mouth is:

Today

A slight chance of showers between 1pm and 2pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

From there on, it shows a chance of rain everyday but Tuesday (in case you're interested).

I think the radar loop best explains what's going on with the weather today.

(It's helpful if you watch the animation.)  That line of rain along the North Georgia border is where the front is.  It's currently stationary.  When it moves the rain moves. Until it does, the rain stays. It's supposed to move South today.  But that's what they said yesterday.

Enjoy the dry weather while you can.
