Pike County Forecast -- March 29, 2020

You'll have to wait for somebody else to verify it's a new record but I'm just sayin'...

The low for Atlanta last night was 69ºF.  It's currently 68.5ºF out at the Bledsoe Farm. The relative humidity is 89% and the wind is out of the West, gusting to 15 mph.

The simple forecast for today is:

A slight chance of showers before noon, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between noon and 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

But if you read the Forecast Discussion, you find the weatherperson is a little hinky about it.  This is why.

See that line of red in the NW corner of Georgia? It's supposed to simmer down before it gets to us. But in that it's the same storm that hammered Arkansas last night, you want to be sure about that before you tell folks not to worry about it. And weather is rarely -- if ever -- a sure thing.  So, per the forecast above -- before Noon to 2PM -- you might want want to take a look at the radar and see if that line is still an angry red.

Yes, that is a cold front that is coming through Georgia and no, I don't have any idea what's going on out West but I'm real curious about it.
