Cold Springs in Bloom
It was overcast and occasionaly foggy this morning so here's a picture of the Cold Springs Trail in bloom. Up close on the left is False Solomon's Seal. Also on the left, in front of the big tree is Mayapple and to the right of the same tree is Wild Blue Phlox. In the right, bottom corner you can see one bloom underneath the leaves of a Mayapple — which is how they do. The bloom is underneath the "umbrella" of their leaves. I'll have to bring a ground cloth so I can lie down and get a closeup of the bloom. ( I use the ap Picture This for plant identification.)
