Faded Away to Blue

What do I know?  No sooner had I reported to the locals, "Chance of a sunrise picture is low", the sky lit up.  And it stayed lit up until about 10 minutes before sunrise and just faded away to blue.  I've been shooting sunrises every morning for nearly 20 years now.  If there's one thing I know for certain, it's that you don't know.  Weather has an infinite capacity to surprise you.  That's why I tell everybody to "just show up" about every other post.  (If only our lives allowed us to show up for every sunrise and sunset.)

Anyway, yes, I am a lucky man.  I get to see this virtually every time it happens.  And I am grateful, even on the days when it doesn't.
