Cowboy Hats Earn Points

I spent all day watching folks ride Western and this was the only cowboy hat I saw inside the arena.  Just so you'll know -- for this photographer -- cowboy hats earn you extra points.  I don't won't to talk anybody out of a helmet — especially young people — but I hope I can talk you out of a baseball cap.  Especially ones with neon or writing on them.  It was one of the reasons I enjoyed photographing Georgia High School Rodeo so much — the dress code.  It makes a huge difference in pictures. 

Funny thing is, I wear a cowboy hat everywhere I go, every day -- except church and the rodeo.  (Every time I shoot a vertical picture I knock my hat off.  And then there's the tripod.)  So, yes, I am fond of hats.  Do what you will with that information.
