Love a Lie
Well, I couldn't get up to Monte Sano again this morning so I thought I'd post this one. I could tell you it is Ben Macdui, up in the Cairngorms National Park of Scotland and you'd be thrilled wouldn't you? I know I'd be thrilled — if I could get up there at dawn, in the snow. It's so easy to love a lie.
Unfortunately, the truth is that it actually is a mountain. Covered in snow. After it has been torn down, ground up and piled back up as gravel for a construction site where the mountain used to stand. And it's in Huntsville, Alabama.
Rumor has it they will build a Chick-fil-A there (or maybe that's the site across the street). We've got to eat, right? And we need places to live. Right? I hope we're not lying to ourselves. It's so easy to love a lie.
