Cold, Cold Springs

It was a backwards morning.  It was 40ºF when I woke up.  By the time I got around to this picture is was 32ºF and snowing (ever so slightly).  Although this waterfall  is on Monte Sano, it's just outside the State Park on the land owned by the Land Trust of North Alabama.  And in case I haven't said it lately, the Land Trust is one of the very best things about Huntsville and North Alabama.  You should be a member.

With the winter rains, water has returned to Monte Sano — including this waterfall on Cold Springs Trail.
