Pike County Forecast -- Wednesday, May 6, 2020

It's 56ºF out at the Farm.  The relative humidity is 62% and thw wind is out of the Northwest at less than 5 mph.  And...Holy Cow! would you look at that!

You've got a Wind Advisory, Hazardous Weather and Special Weather Statement all at the same time.  You know, sometimes, you might ought to look at the forecast for yourself.  But for today, I can just tell you that the wind is going to blow.  You've already gotten one clue about the problem -- the humidity is low.  High winds and low humidity equals forest fires.  I live in a forest so please, don't be starting any fires today.  That goes for tonight too.

Today -- Sunny, with a high near 71. West wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

You caught that low temperature of 42ºF tonight, right?  There's nothing on the radar so that brings use to the good ol' surface map.
