Pike County Forecast -- Friday, May 8, 2020
Good morning. It's a delightful 44ºF out at the Farm. The relative humidity is 98% and the wind is out of te Southeast at 5 mph. Hampton is calling it "Fair" skies and ATL is reporting "Mostly Cloudy" so I need to finish this up to go make pictures. Sunrise is at 6:44AM and continues to get earlier every day.
The forecast today calls for Mostly Sunny until around 3 PM or so and then an increasing chance of showers.
There is a slight chance for a shower this morning but, mainly, they will be in the afternoon. The wind will be out of the South at 5-10 mph with gusts up to 20.
The radar shows showers approaching NW Atlanta but the surface map (as always) has the real story. It's another cold front is coming through this afternoon/evening. Believe it or not, there is a freeze warning for the mountains of NE Georgia tonight.
