Pike County Forecast -- Monday, April 20, 2020

Good morning everyone.  I hope you were able to get some sleep. It's a warm 58ºF out at the Farm.  The relative humidity is up (of course) to 99.9%. The wind is out of the South at 5-10 mph.

The forecast for today isn't too bad.

"Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 9am, then a slight chance of showers between 9am and 10am. Patchy fog before 8am. High near 71. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible."

It might drop into the 40s tonight.

You can see the backside of the low pressure system dragging the showers and thunderstorms through north Georgia on the radar.

And you can see the main line of thunderstorms exit southeast Georgia into Florida and the Atlantic.

The surface map shows you the low (the red "L") exiting the scene off the coast of Carolina.

So, if you sleep in long enough, you'll wake up to a pretty day.   Enjoy.
