Pike County Forecast -- April 23, 2020

I'm late! I'm late!  And the Sun don't wait!

Everybody simmer down.  As far as I can tell, it's garden-variety thunderstorms. You can get exciitied after lunch. Maybe.

It's still a relatively cool 53ºF at the Farm.  The relative humidity is 92% with the wind out of the East  at 10 mph.

For the forecast:

"Showers and thunderstorms likely before 9am, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 9am and 2pm, then showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. High near 70. Southeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible."

You can see from the radar that it ought to be raining on us at any minute.  You can also see, most of the red stuff is back in Mississippi.  Look for that to be here after 2PM.

The surface map is showing the worst of is going South of us.

But just like the forecast has improved in the last few hours, that can change for the worse in a few hours.  I'd check on those thunderstorms again -- around noon -- to see what the afternoon will be like.  Meanwhile, carry on.
