Golden Rod at Sunrise

I've been working at this picture for a week or two.  I never seem to be able to do it justice. It's staring me in the face every morning — right where I normally take pictures.  I've photographed in under every lighting condition you can imagine, yet, I'm still not happy with it.

I guess this is as good as it gets.  There is probably a polarizer attached to the lens and there may (or may not) be a graduated neutral density filter used.
