Home to Roost

This picture sort of epitomizes how my day went.   I drove 180 miles, walked 4 and this is the best picture I got.  A mediocre picture of a dull sunrise with a contrail-filled sky -- shot from a golf course.  You'd think I could do better visiting a State park, a big lake, a wildlife refuge and then a bird sanctuary.   But no, this was it.  I didn't even see a bird at the birding site.  I didn't bother with sunset (a cloudless sky).  I just came home.
