The Better Part
I had a chance to go spend the better part of an hour photographing Cold Springs this morning. I never know which shutter speed I like with moving water so I just shoot a bunch of them. (Why yes, I do use a tripod.) I shot this scene at everything between 1/6th of a second to 13 seconds.
Imagine my chagrin to find I picked the one with my normal settings — F8, ISO 400 and whatever shutter speed the exposure requires. In this case, 1/10th of a second. Who knew? (I usually pick one around 1/2 to 1 second with a waterfall but this is more babbling brook.)
It's right next to Monte Sano State Park but this is on the Land Trust of North Alabama's Monte Sano Nature Preserve. Huntsville, Alabama.
