Fallen Arch
I decided to take a walk along the Sinks Trail on this cloudless, cold morning in Monte Sano State Park. There's this huge, dead tree that has fallen down, across the trail, forming an arch across the trail.
I think I need to leave earlier or get there on a not-so-sunny day but I was there so I did the best I could. I do like how the shiny, fallen leaves reflect a lot of light up, underneath the arch.
Just as a reminder, Monte Sano State Park is less than 10 miles (about 15 minutes) from the courthouse square in Downtown Huntsville. If we can keep the developers at bay, it will remain as a tremendous asset for Huntsville. Just remember, developers are more motivated than citizens. They are trying to get rich. And they have a plan. They only have to win once to ruin a place.

Yeah. I had the camera set to my preferred auto setting (1/125th, minimum aperture, Auto ISO) for walking around on a trail. I was just getting set up and reviewing the composition. I saw a neon marking ribbon in the background so I moved over a few inches to hide it behind the tree. I liked my original composition better. And the strong backlight washed out the ribbon.
