Different Places
I can't bear to put up another foggy picture from Monte Sano so I went and looked back in the archives from this month. This is a metal (aluminum? steel?) sculpture on the South side of Big Spring Park in Huntsville, Alabama. I really like it and, so far, this is the best picture I've managed to get of it. (It is surrounded by more city clutter than my eye can tolerate.)
Notice the holes cut into the metal. Each beam (stave? rib?) of the sculpture has different patterns in different places. To my eye, they look random. But I can't help but wonder if they mean something. It's a really intriguing piece of art.
