Rocket City -- Huntsville, Alabama

I really didn't expect a decent sunset.  It had been cloudy and drizzly all day.  But I knew from looking at the satellite loop there was a chance….so I took it.

Gremlins got most of my pictures tonight.  A camera battery died and then I noticed the Vibration Reduction on my lens was making all the long exposures blurry.  I'd heard of that happening but I had never experienced it.  I finally got everything squared away in time to get a few decent pictures.  Straight out of the camera — no processing.

The skyline is dominated by the Saturn V rocket at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
