Lying at Your Feet

It was a cloudy, chilly morning on Monte Sano.  No rain, no Sun, no fog.  Sometimes, it can be hard to find a picture.  And then, sometimes, you'll almost step on one. After giving up on a scene I was trying to photograph, I looked down to pick up my tripod and saw this.

I've had to train myself, over the years, to look close.  My eye is naturally on the horizon, gazing into the distance, wandering around the bend.  Sometimes, the world is lying at your feet.
