Just Add Ice

Well, it was the same old fog on Monte Sano this morning.  But just add ice — ice fog that is — and you've got more possibilities.

A seedling on the edge of the Bankhead Trail bows to the weight of the ice fog near the top of Monte Sano.  It was strange, I was at the overlook like normal and didn't see any plants with ice on them.  But just 100 yards down the trail every seedling, vine and spider web was frosted over.

Yes, it was cold.  Right around freezing (of course), damp (obviously) and just the slightest breeze to where I had to crank up the ISO to freeze the motion in this shot.
