Still Be Surprised
There wasn't a spot of color in the sky this morning. It was clear but there was a heavy haze. The Sun finally shone through the haze — surprising me how far south it has moved. (I watch it come up every day. How can I still be surprised?) Anyway, I had to recompose my shot and the planned 500mm shot became a 200mm shot. Here it is, passing through an unseen cloud layer and poking through the top.
From the overlook at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, Alabama.
