The Stars are Here

(Whoops!  Missed one.  December 30, 2025)

There's a famous scene in "Dances With Wolves".  Kicking Bird wants to know how many white men are coming to take the Lakota land.  Lt. Dunbar replies, "Like the stars".  

I think of that scene whenever I see this view. The stars are here.  And there are more to come.

Lights fill the valley below Monte Sano State Park on a cold and windy December morning.
