Luck for Alaska
The last sliver of the Sun — like you can only get on the ocean. As in the rest of life, nobody factors in photography. We left land behind about 30 minutes before sunset. So no silhouette of the mountains or islands. Just the ocean.
We didn't see the Sun again for the 700+ miles between Sitka and Victoria, B.C. No complaints. It only rained while we were on the ocean. We didn't have any rain at any of our ports. And that is some kind of luck for Alaska in September.
