Ease the Pain

I've heard it called a "Chamber of Commerce" day.  It's the kind of day the folks responsible for tourism pray for when a cruise ship pulls into town.  Just a few clouds, mostly-blue sky and warm.  It was absolutely beautiful.  Even the locals were amazed.

But I'm different.  I came to Alaska for the cold weather.  Oh well.  This kind of sunrise helped ease the pain.   Pulling into Sitka, Alaska, the sky lit up for the sunrise.
