March 29th in TrumpWorld

First, an acknowledgment.  I've been listening to the podtcast  "Clean Up on Aisle 45"  lately and I heard Allison Gill or Pete Strzok say "Trumpworld" the other day.  That may be where I got the title from.  But as I have admitted numerous times, I don't have an original idea in my head. (Well, except the photography park one.)

"This was the same America whose president had declared a ban on travelers from predominantly Muslim countries that trapped people in airports and interrupted lives."

"On Wednesday, the judge in Hawaii turned his temporary restraining order against the ban into an indefinite one, fixing it in place unless it is overturned.

The government is appealing those decisions, which have drawn Mr. Trump’s fury. His administration has insisted it will prevail."

He did not prevail.  He wasn't reelected either.

"Karen McDougal, a former Playboy model, recently filed a lawsuit against American Media, saying she wants to be free to speak about an affair she says she had with Mr. Trump over a decade ago."

Yeah.  You forgot about her didn't you?  Stormy wasn't the first.

"For years, Mr. Trump has relentlessly attacked his predecessor, Barack Obama, and The Enquirer is no different."

Look kids, let me give you a little advice.  If The Enquirer is on your side, you're on the wrong side.

"The Trump administration took an important step on Friday in its push to restrict access to abortion and contraception, announcing that it would give as much as $5.1 million in family planning funds to a nonprofit organization funded by allies of the Catholic Church."

Trump Administration Gives Family Planning Grant to Anti-Abortion Group

You watch.  Trump is going to run away from his anti-abortion past.  He knows which way people are voting.  Don't get excited about it.  The racists will stay with him.  (Not to mention, where are the anti-abortion people going to go?)

"So Mr. Falwell — a staunch ally of President Trump and an influential voice in the evangelical world — reopened the university last week, igniting a firestorm. As of Friday, Dr. Eppes said, nearly a dozen Liberty students were sick with a varying degree of respiratory infections. Three were referred to local hospital centers for testing. An additional eight were told to self-isolate."

Liberty University Brings Back Its Students, and Coronavirus Fears, Too

Do you ever wonder how many staunch allies of Trump followed his lead to their deaths?  I think more of all the innocent people his followers infected.

March 29, 2021 -- Trump is gone but not forgotten

"Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken declared on Tuesday that women’s access to contraceptives and reproductive care is a global human right that will be monitored by the United States, reversing a Trump administration policy that overlooked discrimination or denials of women seeking sexual health services worldwide."

I'll say it again, it matters who the President empowers -- the people charged with running the Government.

"Mr. Blinken also announced that he had dismantled an advisory committee, set up by Mike Pompeo, the secretary of state at the time, that had prioritized religious liberties and property rights among universal freedoms. Critics of the panel had accused Mr. Pompeo of using it to promote his evangelical Christian beliefs and conservative politics."

It matters a lot.
