Creek on a Slab

I took the Alms House Trail down to Fagan Creek this morning.  This is about where it intersects with Fagan Creek and the Railroad Bed Trail. (Yes, a railroad used to run up to the top of Monte Sano.)  This is on land owned by the Land Trust of Northern Alabama.  It's 2.6 miles from the courthouse square in Huntsville, Alabama.

Having said that, it's a tough trail (for an old guy carrying a pack and a big tripod).  It's all downhill from the Land Trust's parking lot on Bankhead Parkway and it's all roots and rocks.  But I've never seen a creek on a slab of rock (limestone?) before so it was worth it.
