My Best Guess

Every once in awhile, I like to prove to myself I'm still a real photographer. That I can still get the shot with just one shot — no bracketing, no manipulation. It's kind of silly.  We aren't going back to the film days. But what the heck, it's a skill that might come in handy one day.

This one is underexposed from what the meter said (of course).  I ran up the shutter speed until the meter ran off the scale and then came back one click (a third of a stop). It probably should be about 1/2 stop brighter but I hate that %#& white dock that's always spoiling the the black of the silhouetted shoreline so I always err on the side of dark.  Good thing I like the dark anyway.
