Hickory Cove Hawk

Well, the sunrise fizzled out early this morning so I went over to Hickory Cove Preserve (part of the Land Trust of North Alabama) just to see what was happening.  This hawk was sitting in a tree overlooking the parking lot and the adjacent, empty field.  He didn't seem to mind me taking his picture at all.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's a young red-tailed hawk.
