Curtain of Dirt

A barrel racer kicks up a curtain of dirt during the Georgia High School Rodeo Association event at the Northeast Alabama Agri-Business Center in Rainsville.

Continuing the theme that I came to play on Sunday, I pulled out the big lens for one segment of the barrel races.  It's too big for the close barrel — you wind up cutting off heads or feet too many times — but it sure is nice to have the reach for the far barrel.  Anyway, the joy of being an amateur.  Failure is not fatal.  And when it works, man, I love the way it looks.
