Green Turning Gold

You might not see it — because you're not there every day like I am — but the green tunnel of the Bankhead Trail is slowly turning gold.  In Monte Sano State Park, Huntsville, Alabama.

Just in case you wonder why photographers are always droning on about "the light"....it's because it matters.  Here's a second shot of the same scene I took on the way back out.  After it had stared raining.  (I wish I had thought of this years ago.  Whenever I think it's going to rain, I ditch one of my water bottles and replace it with one of those little umbrellas that are about the same size.)  I've included the exposure data so you can see the settings are the same.  Only the time of the exposure changed because it was darker.
