Meet the Mayapple

I would have never seen it.  A friend on the mountain pointed it out to me — a mayapple blooming.  I've heard about them, I've just never noticed one.

It's funny how we see. The subject rarely comes up in conversation.  You may recall, I see "far".  I'm always looking to the horizon.  A hawk in a tree.  An airplane in the sky.  The Sun or Moon rising on the horizon.

This lady on the mountain pointed out wildflower after wildflower that I had overlooked.  And once you see them, you're left wondering how you could overlook them.

But then again, that's what the art of photography is all about — how two people can see the exact same thing differently.
