Manna for My Madness

I've probably posted this composition a half-dozen times. But here's the manna for my madness.  I know — for my eye — this is the best composition for this scene.  And because I go to the same place over and over again, I know what to do on the peak day of the prettiest Fall I've seen so far in Huntsville.

And for today, it will serve as two lessons (that I've thought of so far) about my "big idea" — a Photography Park.  You'll have to read about that (and see it) elsewhere.  I'll let you know.

This is the old entrance to Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, Alabama. They closed the old road to this entry, long ago, but if you walk the Bankhead Trail (closed-road portion) to the overlook where I take pictures every morning, this is the scene that will greet you.  But it will never look this good…unless you are very, very lucky.  Like me.
