Fading to Dust

I spent the morning trying to photograph (and hide from) thunderstorms on Monte Sano. Suffice it say the thunderstorms won.  There was so much lightning I spent most of the morning in the truck.

So here is another picture from my trip to the United Kingdom.  A stained-glass window in an almost-forgotten church near Conwy Castle in Wales.

There are so many churches like this. Incredibly beautiful and fading to dust.  I guess it's just a fact of life in countries with 1,000+ years of history but it is strange to the 250-year mindset of Americans. I was drinking in a pub older than than the United States. The churches are even older.
