The Sunrise That Wasn't

About 30 minutes before sunrise a spooky gust front rolled over Monte Sano and blocked out the whole sky.  But it left as quick as it came.  And while the portion of the thunderstorm that was headed for me fell apart, the part that didn't fall apart parked itself between Monte Sano and the Sun.

Sunrise passed without me even noticing.  I looked down at my watch and it was already 5 minutes ago.  But the sky stayed interesting.  This is from about 40 minutes after sunrise — when I'm usually long gone.
