Dawn Patrol
An osprey looks me over just as the Sun was rising over the tree line at the lake. I had the 18-300mm on the tripod, photographing the shoreline of the lake. With a polarizer on no less. I took a few shots with it and then grabbed the big lens out of the truck. Fortunately, the osprey took a few circles overhead so I got a couple of hundred shots off. I guess I'll have to crank the auto-shutter speed up a little more because I just can't get steady handholding a lens anymore. Oh well. It's still thrilling to see such a thing and a privilege to be able to photograph it.
