Fall Hasn't Failed

It might be late, but Fall hasn't failed here yet.  I remember growing up in Macon, GA — just an hour south — and how disappointing the Fall leaves were compared to the mountains.  But the colors aren't bad here, even if they do seem to come later each year.

Ha, I grew up just north of Macon.

Part of the colors being better in the mountains may be just that it's easier to SEE them on the hillsides. But there's lots of pine trees in the middle of the state too. Not much color in pine trees.

BTW, thanks for explaining "Get the flick" in the blog header. I always wondered what that meant.
