Any Excuse to The Moon
As soon as I saw the Flickr Friday challenge was #Moon, I knew where I was going for the shot. And, as usual, I got there before they opened. (When you shoot the sunrise every day, it's not hard to do.) Any excuse to go to The Moon Bakeshop works for me. They have to best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Period. And it's perfect every time.
I really thought I'd get a shot of the whole storefront — with a pedestrian or a car blurred, going past the front. I try not to overthink it and remain flexible. But as soon as I saw the sky reflected in the glass door -- with the lights on back in the kitchen — I knew I would wind up using this shot. I'd love to go back every morning and wait for a great sky but…I can't afford the calories. I'll have to walk a couple of extra miles on the mountain to pay for today's sins. But it's worth it.
