James R. Britcher

The polished granite tombstone of Mr. James R. Britcher reflects the rising Sun in Brechin's cemetery, Scotland.  The rest of the writing is a little worn but I believe it says he passed in 1813.

By this time in my trip,  I had photographed a lot of eastern Brechin without finding a place to shoot the sunrise (yes, Brechin needs a Photography Park too) so I thought I'd see what I could see from the cemetery.  At the risk of repeating myself, I can always find an interesting picture in a cemetery.  They are full of art, usually well tended and there aren't any utility wires to work around.
