Sunrise Contrail
I can't resist. Neither taking pictures of airplanes or posting this one. Trust me, I've taken more pictures of airplanes than you can imagine. Mostly before the folks that ran Hartsfileld-Jackson in Atlanta made it a real hassle. But I still can't resist. Right in the middle of this morning's sunrise, this guy went over with a contrail that lit up unlike any other I've ever seen. And trust me, I've seen a lot of contrails at sunrise too.
For the airplane geeks: It's Turkish Airlines 184 (TK184) out of Istanbul headed for Mexico City. A Boeing 787-9 at 38,000 (FL380 I suppose). (Thank you FlightRadar24.) As Jimmy Buffet would sing, "That's a mighty long airplane ride."
