Not Blue
I'm publishing this (mostly) because:
A: I'm shocked it worked this well.
B: It's not blue. (Two blue pictures in a row and today was "blue" too.)
I've complained about my Nikon 18-300mm F6.3 -- one-lens-does-it-all -- before. In case you haven't noticed, I use it about 99% of the time. Because, while it doesn't excel at anything, it does dang-near everything well (enough). I was walking down the Bankhead Trail in Monte Sano State Park when I saw this little fellow (pretty sure it's a Carolina wren) flitting around in the brush. I'm in the shade, this thing won't sit still and I've got this slow lens hanging on the camera. Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Like I said, I'm shocked it worked this well. I was even able to crop it about 50%. One day I'm going to stop ragging on this great lens.
