To Be a Photographer
It was worth freezing to death. It's the coldest I've ever been at 43ºF. Yeah, I know that sounds crazy. It was 48 in the valley and I almost didn't put on my (lightest pair of) longhorns. The light show started over an hour before sunrise so I never got a chance to walk any laps and warm up. I just had to sit there and take it. And, as always, it was my hands that were really killing me. I never have found a way to keep them warm and take pictures.
I'm sure you'll get to see some of the other pictures later but this is the one I liked the best. The sky spit a few rain drops at me while this was happening so that is virga (rain that evaporates before it hits the ground) on the right side — right at sunrise. Then the Sun found a hole and it got *really* interesting. It was a great morning to be a photographer.
