Pike County Forecast -- Sunday, April 12, 2020
Be Alert!
I'm not sure what a lert is, but you need to be one today.
It is a wonderful 48ºF out at the Farm. The relative humidity is in the 60% range and the wind is from the Southeast at 5 -10 mph. The good folks at ATL are reporting a visibility of 10 miles and 3 different layers of scattered clouds (starting at 18,000 ft.) so there's even a good chance at a decent sunrise.
But after sunrise, all bets are off. The forecast is long and complicated today as it it grim. Today would be a good day to read it for yourself.
A chance of showers after sunrise. Off and on thunderstorms after 9AM. The high will be in the mid 70s.
And then it turns ugly tonight. They've toned down the Forecast Discussion since yesterday -- no more mention of super cells and tornadoes -- but the thunderstorms tonight are supposed to be on another level from the ones during the day. So, don't wait until tomorrow to check on the the weather. Check on it again around lunch and at supper.
See the map below? Red is BAD.
