PIke County Forecast -- Saturday, April 18, 2020
Good Morning. It's 60ºF out at the Farm. The relative humidity is 76% and the wind is out of the Southwest at 5-10 mph. Hampton is reporting light rain. ATL is reporting the same, with 3 layers of scattered clouds starting 5,000 feet and going up. See what I mean about complicated is never good news for weather?
But don't despair. The forecast for today isn't too bad.
"A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before 10am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph."
Radar shows the approaching band of thunderstorms/showers. The forecast discussion says they will weaken the further south they move.
Pike County looks like it will be just south of the main show so maybe it won't rain on my morning walk/photography.
The surface map doesn't tell you a lot about the day and I already have a colorful picture so we'll let it go at that. I'm sure your local weatherman will be all atwitter about tomorrow night's approaching doom but I'll worry about that tomorrow. Fiddle-dee-dee.
