Waterfall Season
The hydrology on Monte Sano is kind of hard to explain (when I don't know what I'm talking about). Virtually all the waterfalls are seasonal. A raging torrent can turn into a trickle after a week of no rain. The whole mountain is sandstone. But it stores up water in odd places. There are several bogs on top. Right now, because of some heavy rains, there are several more. Little ponds (less than a half acre) on top of a rock mountain.
Anyway, with all the bogs, cracks and crevices full, it's waterfall season. I was trying to find a path (that an old guy can manage) to a big one when I found this little one.
