Sláva Ukrayíni!

Life in the big city.  In case y'all forgot, the last place I lived was a small, rural county in Georgia.  Now I live in the most sophisticated city in Alabama.  (Is that an oxymoron?  Or a paradox?  Don't ask me.  I went to Public schools in Georgia.)  Anyway, I hope you'll forgive this political subject.  But I like the picture and I gave someone my card with this web site (Flickr) on it.

I spent the afternoon in Big Spring Park attending (and photographing) the rally for Ukraine. You'd be surprised how many Ukrainians live in Huntsville.  (I know I was.)  I keep saying we have people from all over the world living here and yet I'm always surprised to meet people from all over the world in Alabama.

Now, I could go on for pages about appeasement, foreign policy and the world order (NATO, the U.N and the set of rules America made and agreed to abide by) we created and have lived by (mostly) that has kept the peace (mostly) for the last 80 years.  But I won't.  Because I enjoy this non-political refuge (Flickr) in my life.

So I'll just drop this picture here. And I'll remind folks that I'm an amateur.  I don't sell pictures.  I just give mine away.  And I have a bunch from the rally for Ukraine in Big Spring Park, Huntsville, Alabama on February 22, 2025.  Just in case you might have need of them.

Sláva Ukrayíni!
