Summer is Fading

Another rainy, foggy morning on Monte Sano today.  The rain ended about 30 minutes before sunrise but no color (nor the Sun) ever showed.  Just clouds and fog and mist.  But it all made my normal hike up and down the Bankhead Trail more interesting.  This is a lower section, down near the Bankhead Highway barrier. 

As you can see, summer is fading and a few of the leaves are starting to fall.
