My Bag Was Packed
My bag was packed up. I was ready to leave. The overlook was buried in a cloud, it was 5 minutes until sunrise and I decided I'd head down the trail and photograph the fog before it disappeared. What was I thinking?
Thankfully, I stopped to take a few pictures of the old CCC cabin behind me. When I turned back around, the cloud had lifted and the sky had a touch of gold in it with the rising Sun just behind a cloud. I stuck around for another 30 minutes making pictures of the scene.
I've said it before but evidently I forget, the best landscapes, for me, have always been at the edge of a storm.
