Oh, Why Not?
I shoot at least a dozen of these every morning. I never publish them — I don't get up before dawn and go outside when it's freezing to photograph city lights. But every morning before the sky lightens, I set up my camera and make sure all the settings are right by taking a a few shots of Gurley.
This was as good as it got today (besides the obligatory red-rubber-ball rising shot) so I thought "Why not?". Besides, it will document how the lights spread as the suburbs of Huntsville expand.
The morning commute to Huntsville begins at Gurley, Alabama — from the overlook at Monte Sano State Park.
