Japanese, If You Please

Yeah, I know.  It really is Alabama.  And Huntsville is known for its German immigrants, not Japanese.  But it's a Japanese garden in Monte Sano State Park. 

I may have mentioned previously that Japanese maples provide some of the most consistent and varied Fall color around.
