No Show Meteor
I didn't see a single meteor from the Lyrid meteor shower. But I did catch an airplane flying through the Milky Way. Yep, that slight smudge in the sky is what the Milky Way looks like in the Eastern U.S. I thought it was just an old contrail in the sky until I realized it hadn't moved in 15 minutes
We don't see a lot of the Milky Way here, south of Atlanta — between the light pollution and the humidity — but it got real cold (for us) last night (30ºF/-1ºC) and the sky was exceptionally clear this morning.
